Cannon is baaaacccckkkk!

I had the pleasure of spending time with my nephews and niece this evening.
Gage & Cannon love it when they get to see each other. They are silly, unpredictable and just down right hilarious!
Stacey so graciously said she'd let them have a sleep over (she's brave), so we all had dinner at her house and enjoyed one another's company.
I was taking pictures of the silly boys and saw Cannon go to Azem's microphone while Gage was "playing" the piano. I decided this would be good video footage.
Here is what I got....

Flower Fabulousness!

Over the last few months I've been randomly spoiled with bouquets of flowers from my man. However, these are not just your normal, run-of-the-mill flower arrangements, they are absolutely beautiful! So, I asked my man, "what florist are you ordering these from?" He said, "I always use Argie Lewis Flowers. A guy named Terry makes all these for you."
Here are pictures of the arrangements Terry has made for me.

Then, a couple of weeks ago, he brought me home these....

I said "thank you" first and then asked, "uh, did Terry do these?" He said, "I think so, he usually does." I told him I bet that Terry had NOTHING to do with this horrible arrangement! We both just shrugged our shoulders and went about our lives.

Well....days later I came home from work and found these in my house. . .

They were amazing (to me anyway). I asked my man, "why 2 bouquets within days of each other?" He said he briefly spoke with Terry and mentioned that I knew he (Terry) didn't make that last bouquet and how bad I thought it was. Well, Terry felt bad, I guess, and made it up to me and my money-paying man by making a new and much better arrangement.

So, if you're ever in need of a talented florist, just give Terry @ Argie Lewis Florists a call.

Once in a Lifetime

I received the 2010 Census the other day. I got a little excited about this. Why, you may ask? Well, this is the first time I've ever gotten to participate (directly) in one!
I was quick to fill it out and return it the U.S. Dept. of Commerce. It was very easy to complete and took only minutes, mostly because I don't have 14 kids or 20 relatives living with me!
While filling the Census out, I realized that this is just many of the "once in a lifetime" experiences that I may never get to go through again. As a result, I started thinking of all the other "once in a lifetime" events.

Like...
Having an African-American President

Watching a new Pope be elected

Gay marriages becoming legal

The 1st private space flight

Well those are all I can think of for now.

Can you think of any other "once in a lifetime" events?

Loco

Every time I look at this picture, my heart drops into my stomach! I know I should admire this circus family, but I just think they are LOCO! I snapped this picture and had to look away before I threw up.

Kids say the most hilarious things!

My mom and I had the pleasure of spending time with Cannon a few weeks ago (he lives in Texas). Mimi (my mom) woke up early, with help from Cannon, and they headed off to this yummy doughnut shop in South Tulsa. The lady who owns this shop makes all kinds of neat doughnuts. Mimi bought a guitar (jettar-as Cannon pronounces it) one, a butterfly one, a heart one and a basketball one. They arrived at my house to wake me and share their neat treats. I decided to grab my camera and video Cannon just in case he said something funny, which he's known to do lately. I got lucky and he was hilarious! Here is what he decided to tell Mimi and I.
Background of what he's talking about:
Every Christmas break, my sister, her husband, Cannon & her in-laws go skiing. Now that Cannon is 3, he really enjoys the hills and snow. As he was eating his "jettar" doughnut, he decided to tell us about what he's going to do next year when he goes skiing. Enjoy the video and sorry about when Mimi gets choked from laughing so hard!

My favorite tree (day 2)

This is a tree that's in my neighborhood. I always enjoy seeing it when I round the corner to my home.
I always wonder: How long has it been there? Why did it grow crooked? Although, the crookedness gives it character. What kind of tree is it? Thank goodness the ice and snow storms didn't damage it!
It's much more pretty in the spring and summer (I'll make sure to post another picture of it then).
Well, I just wanted to share my favorite tree with the rest of you.

Does anything in nature ever bring a flood of questions to your mind?

Signs, signs, everywhere there's signs (day 1)

Driving home from work today, I spotted this sign.
I can't believe it was the first time I noticed this, since I drive this way home everyday! So if you need a beer with your breakfast, lunch or dinner, then Sami's will have one ready for ya. Cheers!

Sorry about the quality, I was driving. Talented huh?
